Dyed my hair and hubby didn't notice!

My hair has been a light blonde for over 27 years.
After this winter I have become very pale so I thought I
would add some color to brighten my face up.
I did it a light honey-cinnimon blonde.
I thought for sure he would say something when he got home.
NOPE not one word. I even went to the bank and the girls saw it right away. I looked in the mirror and there is a difference.
Wonder what else I can get away with!!!!!

Yeah or put one tiny little ding or scratch in the car, he'll notice that.

Seriously, its great though. Whenever I buy new clothes especially if they're expensive, I just take 'em home and hang 'em up in the wardrobe, then I put them on one morning and if Wayne says "is that new?" I go "No I've had it for ages", and because sometimes its true and I have had it for ages, he just thinks its another thing he hasnt noticed. 8)
Works like a charm. :D
LOL I have a few of those in my closet now!!1
Ok he did notice !!!! LOL
He did't say anything because he did not like it............
I was born to be blone.
No matter how many time I try and be natural I hate it.

I am back to blonde and love it.
I just changed my makeup color to brighten my face.
Don't "gentlemen prefer blonds?" So perhaps this says a lot about how nice a man you've married!
I'm a blonde and my husband NEVER notices the change in colour.

I just don't think men do subtle.
I'd love to go blonde....too afraid...my hair is almost black naturally....

Have you tried some highlights?

I love your black hair!!!
If your hair is mostly black, it would take a professional job to turn you blonde and the hair texture would suffer! Try some pro applied enhancers to brighten your hair, not lighten.

Geez, my DH notices every color change.....which from the swimming pool chlorine, can be almost daily  It was his mad idea for me to go red. Since my heart is still in blonde, I try to keep the red lighter, but he and most men prefer the darker colors. Not on an older face.

I haven't seen my natural hair color in over 50 years.......except the roots every month. Wish they were white.................
Well, I have actually gone strawberry blonde before. I was 18 and my older sister (who is a prefessional hair dresser) dyed it that color. I loved it at first, but then after two weeks it looked REALLLY brassy and almost orange from the sun.

That's why I said, I'm too afraid to do it again. I just turned 30 in Jan, and I was considering a change too!! I mean, I already cut half of my hair off.....

Isn't it funny how people want what they don't naturally have?? My hair is naturally super curly, but I straighten it because I don't like the curls.

I agree with mim, GO SHOPPING!!! 8)
If your hair is natuarally dark and you dye it just about anything and are int eh florida sun it will turn orange - I have a very dark haired daughter who went to school in florida for years adn went through a phase of blonde/red - whatever highlights - all turned orange in the sun.
My hair narural is dark brown. I bleach it first. Then color. Never had it turn orange. BUT if I stay in the sun for long it takes the color out.
So in summer outside I put a straw hat on.
Isn't it true that if you go bleach blonde it FRIES your hair??? 8O
NO, I have nice hair. I only need to bleach every 6-8 weeks. I use 30 min bleach and DON'T OVER LAP. I think thats awa its not dry at all. Codition also once a month.

No, you have to go in stages as you go blonder though. If you try to go from dark brown to light, light blonde, that's too many shades and you will do damage. If you take it down a few shades each time you lighten, you can do it gently and it's less abrasive.
I did hear that the upkeep is $$$$ for the conditioning treatments as mentioned, and the touch ups on the roots etc...etc....

I wonder what the whole stripping process is for ???

I've done red before, and I've done strawberry blonde, and chestnut brown.....
Maybe he thinks your hair will go back to normal if he just closes his eyes and hums really loud in his head! I must admit I am guilty of a similar over sight with my husband. Recently I was looking through old photos and saw him standing in front of a couple of different semi trailers and I asked who they belonged to. He then told me he has had six different trucks in the last ten years and I hadn't even noticed. I couldn't even tell you what colour the one he has now is. So long as the bills are paid , who cares what he plays with???
