I'm using my new computer!!! WIRELESS! Bless my daughter, Stefanie, for doing all the "leg" work for me, and getting me set up! (I am apparently too old to figure this stuff out now.) This is so cool! |

| I have never felt as old as I did tonight. I had to have a special thank you to my daughter for hookin' me up! Thanks goodness for kids! It seems not that long ago, I was the "kid" helping my dad! |
Great goings on Deb  Untill about a year ago it worked the other way here, one g/son used to phone me from college so I could help him and his friends with their comps Now I find I am forgetting so much, do you think it could be old age  |

My big thing is figuring out my cell phone. I hate it. I don't have a clue how to use half of what is on it..... I just get my friends daughter to 'fix' what is nneeded on it. <sigh> |
| Deb you will LOVE the freedom you will have with your wireless computer. Many business are set up with WiFi so your computer can pic their line up if you are out and about.
I am sure this is old news, but I got a new cell phn this weekend that has wifi on it...sooo my coverage is so much better when I'm in my house or near a wifi area.  |

Since my sister is staying with me, there are times when she, my boyfriend and I are all on our laptops in the kitchen or living room. We refer to it as Starbucks time.
The next thing is to get a data plan for your cell phone. Totally cool to be sitting in traffic and on the internet! |

| Seriously, you should ask Stefanie to ensure your connection is WEP encrypted. Otherwise anyone -neighbors or just someone parked by your house- can use your connection or worse: read the communications between your computer and your cable box. |

| wireless is great along with laptops great even better wirless printers. But Ron is right get the security anyone can use it. |

I did get a wireless printer, and a wireless mouse. But...as of last night I couldn't get on the internet. My daughter had hooked up the router...but...well...its not working  We have an IT coming Sunday, to get all the pieces in place. I'll ask him about the encryption-ing. |
