sending....sending.........sending.....
and a BIG.................................. |
Oh jeezzz... I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
excited for you!!!! I always measured small but that's b/c baby was so low. I hope it goes FAST, comes SOON, and everything goes WELL!!! Please report back every day to tell us you're still there if you can, and don't wait more than a few days to give us an update!! Oh the pain... that's the only reason I don't want to be you right now. |
Good Luck to you. Talk a long walks. When I was having my youngest (who is 14 now)and started to dilate they told me to take long walks -- not alone of course for safety-- to help it along.
Ooooo. babies. Almost as good as puppies. |
his_armywife wrote: Talk a long walks.
Yeah, I tend to talk about taking long walks too. Sometimes I sweat and get the munchies from all the talking and thinking about it. A lot easier than actually taking them. And puppies give you a headache much sooner than an infant imho. Babies can do no wrong ...unlike puppies |
Sending easy labor and delivery vibes your way! Best wishes! |
I've been a good girl, taking walks, not overly long because I don't wanna get too worn out, and the walks freaking hurt, lol. George goes with me of course, and my cell phone, in case my water were to break or something like that. I carried Tristan really low and always measured small, and while Riley isn't as low, I still measure about 3 cm, maybe a little more, smaller than I should. The Dr was really concerned for a second, until he realized that I don't carry her in the upright position, she likes to stay on my right side, so it measures several cm bigger than the center. He thought I was only measuring about 31cm or so at first. My friend we're having dinner with tonight said I can't go into active labor til after dinner, because she is fixing us porterhouse steaks and fresh green beans cooked with potatoes and bacon.... I love my friend......... But I will definitely keep you guys posted. I really hope this little girl wants to come a little early.....Mommy and Daddy are ready NOW! |
lucky you,
i'm 22 weeks and already messuring a least a week ahead looks like anouther 9 lb + one for me, i'm sending you possitive vibes i hope when my time comes this little boys decide to be a little early too unlike his big brother who decided to hang in there for an extra week, and an extra half lb lol. we need pictures as soon as your home. zoe and einy |
Push'em out, shove'em out, waaaaay out! |

RON! I was just getting ready to write that.... Anyhow-- good luck. My G'ma swore by castor oil.... |
Lots of luck! Castor Oil doesn't work!!! But it did have me running to the bathroom for about 3 days. |
good luck.. |
Well, no labor yet....darn it. But my dinner was excellent. All of my friends and family have their predictions...most of them say sometime in the next week. One evil person says two weeks late by induction If I keep sneezing, I'll pop her out that way, I swear. Allergies are already kicking up this year. Oh, there's no way I'm taking castor oil, I spend enough time in the bathroom already, lol. I'll stick with spicy food and walking and s-e-x! Hubby likes the plan..... |
good luck |
Some people go a month or more being a couple cm dilated... I went way overdue with my first....
They don't tend to let people go that far over anymore, but she was due Feb 14 and was born March 3... |
WOW - good luck!!! |
Still haven't hatched......sigh..... |
OH NO lol........you poor thing!!!!!!!!! Get back in be w/hubby!!! |
cyakins wrote: Still haven't hatched......sigh.....
Haha! I heard that Amazonian women used to go into the jungle and hang from trees when they were ready to hatch, maybe you can try some variation of that? |
Here is the secret: EAT GARLIC! LOTS OF GARLIC! And wash your windows. Honest!! Wishing you a quick a easy labor! Can't wait to see pictures of the little sweetie! |
Good luck luck with your hatching! |

I heard another myth invented by men that labor could be induced another way. |
We haven't heard from her since this morning. Maybe she's having the baby (or washing the windows!) |
Nope, not eating garlic or washing windows.......went to Dr to sign forms so they can give me an epidural without having to fill out loads of paperwork while in pain. Had to let hubby escape the bed to go to work....unfortunately the Army doesn't think he needs to stay home and participate in the bringing on of labor. |
Good luck!!
Rather you than me |
HAVE THE BABY TODAY! HAVE THE BABY TODAY! Today (march 3rd) is my daughter's 23rd birthday!!!! |
Good grief... waking up and still being at home and not the hospital has to be driving you insane!!! I say jump up and down like a goof ball. It's not recommended, but I totally did this whenever dh and in laws weren't looking. You'll feel the pressure for sure!! Good luck today! |
I say, schedule a c-section! lol. Worked for me
Good luck and I hope that baby pops out soon! |
I'd love to have her today.....now preferably, lol. I jumped up and down, hubby said to stop, he could feel the baby bouncing (he had his hands on my belly). I was gonna go jump on the neighbors trampoline, but they sold it when I wasn't looking....... Hopefully I have her soon. If I haven't by my appt this Friday, I'm going to ask if they will consider inducing me no later than my due date (the 13th) as hubby has shoulder surgery on the 17th. They seem to think I will go early, but they said that with Tristan as well, and I had to be induced...... Time to go walk some more...... |
So you're 38 and 3 d right now? Are you having any contractions yet even if infrequent? |

I know you are anxious, and troubled...but I have to tell you...YOU ARE CRACKIN' ME UP! I can just picture you jumping with hubby's hands on your tummy. And how dare the neighbors sell the trampoline BEFORE you have the baby. Sweetie...you've made my day! Now...GO HAVE THAT BABY! |
March 11 is a good day. That is my son's birthday, and he was due the 13th.
Hope you have a sympathetic ear when you plead your case for an induction! |
Still preggers........ |
Oh goodness... have you bought a gun yet? Well since the time is getting closer ...literally, I really am excited for you and love thinking about the smiles on you and your husband's face when it's all over. |
Have two guns already, lol. One under the bed, and one under my side of the mattress, lol. Back to jumping jacks......... |

You do know, when you're in labor, and getting ready to leave for the hospital, you have to sign in and let us know! And show hubby how to long in, so he can give us updates. Or...take your laptop with you! |
Army hospital, so no connectivity there, and if he comes home at all, I'll have him post updates, but he probably won't leave my side.......he's good that way. If I'm home I'll try to hop on long enough to let y'all know what's happening..... |
get them to strip your membranes........... they will know what that means.
you can always make a tea of cohoash to drink too. but be careful with that. Go to the health food store to get it and ask the lady for JUST ENOUGH that would bring you into labor to make with a tea. Then, go home and make the tea, and sip it while playing cards or something. |
Got membranes stripped last week, didn't work.......didn't with Tristan either, lol. My babies are stubborn, or my body is...........another dr appt today, lets cross our fingers! Health food store? In Leesville La, and someone who knows what they are doing in it? Yeah..........nope! |

Stubborn? But you're not even due yet! The baby just isn't ready to be evicted, even if the landlord is... |
I know, I'm highly impatient |
That baby just isn't ready yet.... besides, it's going to be a long time before you can sleep well again (I'm guessing 20-30 years) so why not take advantage of the time you have waiting to rest up? |
Lol, sleep is overrated.....at least that's what I tell myself because I've never been able to sleep really well, but especially now. The Dr said I have about a 65-70% chance of having her this weekend. He stripped the membranes again, said it was a really good one. I'm about 3cm and about 75$ effaced. If I haven't had her by monday, I go back to be put on the schedule to be induced so I have her before hubby's surgery. I can't believe they actually agreed to do it, military dr's aren't always known for their cooperation, at least the ones I've been around, but he understood our concerns and said it shouldn't be a problem at all. Oh, and let me tell you, I hurt today, but I don't know if its just from the stripping or early labor. I do seem to be having contractions, but even my braxton-hicks have been hurting, so who knows..........could just be more false labor.... |
You're that far along and he stripped you again?! I think it's more like a ..you ARE going to have your peanut tonight/early tomorrow morning.
Every time you post, I think it's to say you're off to the hospital! |
Going to the hospital........ |
oh my gosh its going to be a baby!!!!soon |
How exciting!!!! |
Woohoo! |
If it's a false alarm, may I suggest playing "Tusk" by Fleetwood Mac?
Got my fingers crossed! |
Sounds like a birthday party for Riley coming up |
I'm laughing as I imagined you doing your best to type that as you have contractions You're brave but we thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's 3 a.m. so I hope you've had your beautiful baby and all is going well. We're soooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited for you
Big hugs momma! (I got on here just to check this thread lol) |
