I want to say she is jealous, but she is very loving and friendly - never bites and likes everyone. She is almost 6 years old and we live in an apartment, so she is used to having all the attention. I am just wondering if it is normal for her to be so protective or try to keep me away from everyone. Her name is Missy. Arden in Austin, Texas |

I have always thought they did this when they felt threatened. they normally would have backed themselves into the sheep when they felt threatened. |
I kinda agree. I don't know why I find the sitting on the feet charming. It's so cute to me...but then again I have a puppy |
I always thought they sat on my feet because they have no understanding of personal space. |
well in the summer I agree with jill, in the winter I think it's because they are concerned about my comfort |
Chewie does it when he is happy - and he doesn't seem to have any issues with people coming up to me at all. He is obnoxiously friendly to a fault!!
This time of year, in MN it is a wonderful trait. It is -18F right now..... |
Baxter and Baley both do this--I just always assumed they had no idea that they were sitting on feet-- |
I have two sheepies and my oldest one who is 3 has always done this, everytime he usually does this while I'm getting ready for work. My husband will make noises like a dump truck backing in. In my world it's very normal! |
