my boy is 16wks 42 pounds |
No, a month makes a HUGE difference in weight from 9 weeks to 13 weeks. They just about double in weight during that time. My puppy was 14 pounds when he came home at 8 weeks and 28 pounds at 12 weeks. They get big fast. |
You might be growing the "moose" version of an OES. We've had two. Our first, Quincy, was 24 lbs when he came to us at 12 weeks old, and put on approx 10 lbs per month until he was 10 months old, and over 100 lbs. He "filled out" until he was 18 months old, and his fightin' weight was 115 lbs.
Oscar, from the same breeder, was 20 lbs at 10 weeks old, and due to digestive problems, was tall and lean (67 lbs at 10 months old.....he was sooooo skinny.....) until we got thing sorted out. Now he is a nice 112 lbs. He could probably stand to lose 3 or 4 lbs, nothing major. He's just a big boy! Better get a handle on that obedience training............ Laurie and Oscar |
