why are people bad?
and the insurance won't pay out argghhhhhh well all is not lost the only took te xbox 360, playstation 3, my new mini lap top, 2 zunes, two small digital cameras and all hubbys console games they also took two of my hubbys watch and the ring he got for his 21st birthday but the left our expensive watchs and all my jewelry ( and hubby only buys nice stuff) so small electronics can be replaced slowly over the next few months. they trashed the house and broke our bed ( but we where getting a new one anyway we just had to buy it quicker) they even left the computer and the tv and home cinema and hubbys nixon d300 digital slr they only took stuff they could get rid of quickly it seems but just to make you laugh!!! i had a small zip lock food bag full of small pills in my underwear draw they won't be happy when they realise its folic acid supliment i had but it in the bag to take with me when we stayed at the in laws. they probably thought they had found the mother load of drugs or some thing oh well after a new window all is well and the family is safe that is all that matter and it could have been much worse. zoe and einy |

That's terrible news, its not nice to come home to a trashed house. But you are right everyone is safe and the stuff can be replaced.

| we live in my in law second home ( waiting for the housing maket to pick up) and they will only cover my in laws property so they will pay for the damage to the house but not for our stuff.
oh well as i said all is not lost it was only small electronics they did not take the thousand of dollars os omega watches or my jewerly and the had the choice i've got diands and elemerds and my grandmothers sahpires but we still have them. nor did they take hubbys expensive camera just mine and my sons $100 ones they did not touch my sons room or his play room so after some new insurance and some cleaning all is well!!! you live and learn zoe and einy |

| I'm so sorry!! That is my worst fear, and I am so glad you weren't there when it happened!!!!!! Coincidentally, my best friend's house was also broken into a few days ago, and she is in the same situation with insurance. ...unfortunately with no solutions yet. Were your pictures on this laptop?
Robberies seem to have gone up a lot lately. I don't remember this ever being a topic, and it seems to have come up a few times as of late  |

| no nothing of importance on the laptop at all i had only had it a few weeks and it was one of those 10 inch mini ones all the family pictures are on the main computer and backed up onto spare harddrives
hubby says i can have a new one but i will have to wait a while but i'm not that worried lucky a friend who is moving back to the uk has given us all her baby furnature and extra baby things ( like a brand new never used car seat and still in the packet bedding set) so as we don't have to buy new baby stuff for the baby in july ( all the stuff we had for our son is in the uk) we can buy the other stuff quicker after my son got his digital camera and as hes only 3 i would only take out one of the cameras with us any way and as my parent bought me mine for xmas 2007, they said to isaac that they would buy him a new one for valentines. so we will share one and not buy two. the ds and psp never got used really so we will only replace them when isaac is old enough to use them he had a v smile handheld and console anyway. the x box will be the first thing replaced as we used it everyday for music and movies, then the ps3 as we used that as our blue ray player. zoe and einy |

| I'm so sorry. How frustrating for you. It makes me feel guilty about complaining about our water damage that is on the fifth week of NOT getting close to being finished. I see how much more damage other things could be. I hope you get everything back in order soon. |
| i'm so sorry to hear about your burglery. Unless someone has been through this you have no idea how violated you feel!
I think insurance companies are getting worse and worse about paying out. Last year when i had my laptop, dvd player stolen while i was gone, the police didn't do anything for months, i finally wrote the Chief of Police in this town a letter, who then turned the case over to the DA's office. They then declined to do anything further to the only person that had access to my house during those 4 days. To top it off, my insurance said IF i filed a report a) they would raise my deductible and b) raise our rates. Why bother? it was more than it was to replace them! So sad the way things are going in our country today. |
I am so sorry you are having to go through this. You do so very violated when a stranger has been in your house uninvited and has tumbled through your things. I am afraid that with the economy the way it is, things are only going to get worse.  I am glad that everyone is okay. |
| What a terrible thing and worse, a horrible feeling of being violated. Patch is no guard dog so she would have been in the way and maybe hurt by the burglars. Maybe it is good Einy was with you during the burglary. Sorry you had to go through all this, but good no one was hurt. |
