Time to head to the spa for a massage! I'll join ya |
Be careful putting heat on it as when Bob hurt his neck he was told to put ice on it and not heat!!
You need a trip to the Chiropractor to have an adjustment! Though its not as relaxing as Mrs J's idea to go to the spa!!! hope its better soon |
I take a muscle relaxer and put an icy-hot patch on. It at least makes it feel better.
ooh, I hate a stiff neck! |
Ooops old age setting in Kim. Thats what happens when you reach 50 + when you get up in the morning without aches and pains you have to check if you are still alive. Join the club. :D |
THANKS!!!!!!!!! Stewart!!!!!! at least you made me laugh!!!!:) |
If your neck is really stiff and very painful with every movement then ice for up to 3 days. Some people take an antiinflammatory drug but they have side effects so best to talk to your doctor or pharmacist first.
Then you can use heat and gentle stretching. A trip to a physical therapist is a good idea too. If its just stiff and sore you can usually skip the ice bit and go straight for the heat. As neck movement improves, stretches are a good idea but again you may be best to have a physical therapist prescribe them specifically for you condition. They're horrible. Hope it gets better real soon. |
I hate stiff necks, probably all this cold weather got in your joints!! I always use ibuprofen and my wheat bag and a nice woolly scarf....hope it is a bit better |
I always take Alieve am and pm when inflammed. Each pill lasts for twelve hours. Use heat for stiffness, and ice for soreness according to my physical therapist. Hope you feel better.. |
