Never really been around a dog...Nor an OES
After the initial barking (I've been cooped up inside for an hour, how dare you) Obe remembers he has to go pee. She comments, he is huge. Go inside she sits down on the couch. Obe pushes the door open, runs in jumps into her lap and sits down like it was nothing. Then instantly started giving kisses. Not just one either he was head, arms, neck, any exposed skin. I could not help but LMAO before making him get down. He gets jumps down off her lap, comes over to me and gets a drink of water. Yep, you guessed it, right back to her and lays the wet chin right on her pants. Turns looks back at me and I swear you could see the grin on his face...How I'm doing? He lifts his head, leaving the wet chin imprint on her jeans, sits down and leans hard into her to get some attention. Will you please pet me or we can repeats step 1, kisses. I would say it's going over well.... She did like him believe it or not. She laughed, said he is so cute and friendly. The rest of time she was here he was sitting/laying between us. Then I got text after she left saying, I like your dog, he is funny. |

Great start!! Sounds like she could be a convert to the great world of OES. Better than a friend my Mom bought to visit. Tiggy plopped the big wet, just had a drink beard in her lap and she freaked. Too dirty, too yucky, oh well dont think she'll be visiting again.  |

| shon being single i too have that problem thimes 2 evey time i meet a guy and they come over they tell me how much they love dogs but never met a oes then they come over.. well still single so what does that tell you.. ha good luck |

| Shon: Obe must have really like her with all the kisses and then allowed her to be his napkin after his drink.....very special position to be in. I hope things work out the way you want them to.
When my son and his girlfriend frist started to come and visit us, she was taken aback with Violet and the Aussies. She was raised with cats and a toy poodle named Jimmy. (he is a sweetheart). My girls are big dogs compared to Jimmy. Anyway, after a few visits one of the first things she does is lay on the couch and grab the first dog that comes by to lay with her and cuddle. All three of the dogs love it. So, sometimes, it just takes a little to warm people up.  |

She sounds totally acceptable to all of us here it seems ,no freaking out,no "get this big hairy animal off me",no "do you know what these jeans cost?'..oh sorry,just reminiscing over some of the girls my older boys brought home in the past. My oldest son married a girl whose mum bred OES when Kym was a child so her earliest memories involve sheepdogs,she felt like she was "coming home" the first time she visited and the then current sheepie jumped onto her tiny lap,she knew just what was expected of her,rubbed under the ears,tried to make her lap bigger,gracefully accepted the kisses.......ignored our son in favour of the dog...is she perfect or what!!! |

Exactly what I was thinking! Who couldn't love a hairy "lap" dog. And the wet beard in the lap? A classic! Go Obe Go!! |
