Rules of Thumb

Hi there!
It's been many years since we've had a puppy and I wondered if my OES friends had advice regarding:

Stairs
Amount of play per day
Length of walks per day

Little Bentley is going up and down stairs several times a day. He was hesistant at first but now no issues.

Regarding play, we have a neighbor dog he has been playing quite nicely with about twice a day for about 20 mins each time. They are about the same weight. Play is running and wrestling.

Walks.
I am taking him for 3 to 4 walks a day of varying lengths up to 1/2 a mile. Not too long at all.

Anyhow, I wondered what advice y'all had.

Sounds like you are doing fine to me. The only thing I wouldn't be doing is so many walks. That's not to say you shouldn't be. My vet has just always told me not to overdo the walking until they were around 1 year old.
Overexcising while they are in that rapid growth stage can do damage, free play in the yard is better, just short spurts here and there.

Walking on lead, make sure a soft area to walk, like a grassed verge or oval till older.

Just make sure with the stairs not bounding up and down too often while little, if you have any concerns then lead on to guide him up and down till older.
