You need to find a pin brush WITHOUT balls on the ends of the pins. I use Scalpmaster brand. Others that I have used in the past are All-Systems & Hindes. I find the medium length pin of the Scalpmaster works best for my dogs' coats. I have found in the past that the shorter pins tend to take out more coat & the longer pins tend to leave more coat. You can order these online from the pet catalogs or find them at vendors at the dog shows. I have not had any luck finding them in pet stores in my area. |
Hindes are made in the UK so you should be able to get one of those easier. |

I have 2 Hindes brushes and LOVE them. They have lasted 1 1/2 years so far, and that is with a coated sheepie! |
I like Petcetera, they are based in the UK, the prices are reasonable. In my experience they package things well and the items arrive quickly. Website here I suppose it's down to personal preference which brush you use, I too have been using a comb and am looking to switch to a brush soon.
