No crate for Snowy last night

We tried to leave her out. All was good. I fell a slep on the sofa till 1 AM she slept next to me. I got up went to bed and she jumped into bed with us. OK. Then she had to put herself up next to me so I had no room. OK I waited and pushed her and she got down. I saw her lay on the kitchen floor for 2 hours or so. Then I woke to hubby telling her to move. She had put herself right up to him and he had no place to move. Somehow we got to 5PM. annd I was up. Richard got up at 5:30. and she took over the bed the rest of the morning.

Question do I keep her in the crate or can we ajust to her in our bed.???????

hmmm, I think you're right when you said, can YOU adjust, lol. My parents' Maggie slept with her head sharing my dad's pillow until the day she died...are you ready for that? 8)
Been ther done that with Flannigan for 12 yrs. LOL Just not this size dog.
One thing to bear in mind, if you decide to let it go now, you will be sleeping with her for the rest of her life. We have had a couple of sessions with a trainer and her advice was NEVER to allow (in our case) Bailee up in bed to sleep with us. He can be allowed to get up on the sofa, but then only if we invite him. He cannot just get up at his own discretion. You must remember, you are the head of the household, not her. Its your choice but I hope you have a KING size bed if you decide to let her up.
well my trainer sleeps with her Shutzhund dog on her bed - just personal preference. and they learn. Cedric only gets up on the bed if no one or just Dan is in bed, Marley won't get up if Dan is there (although she did the other night - we let her stay cause I was sick and she seemed to want to be near me).

they can sleep with you and still know you are the boss - and yes we have a king sized bed just so there is room for the dogs
yes we have a king size bed. We will need it!!!!
Thank goodness for king size beds! Right or wrong, the hubby and I share ours with three dogs. Puddy sleeps on my side, Little Man the foster (yeah right, he's been here for 6 months  ) and the new pup. Right now it is not tooo bad, since Boo is still a pup, but it should get verrrrrry interesting in a few months. Two nights ago, Boo climbed on the night stand and slept. Maybe I just need to buy a bigger nightstand.

Hahahaha!
Do you have a "Bob's Furniture" down there?
Hmmm. Only one of mine (that lives with me) has ever preferred to sleep in bed. We compromised. She sleeps in the kennel when at home. When we are gone from home, she gets to sleep in bed. Needless to say, she BEGS to travel. I also have a girl in a show home that when she stays here she loves to sleep in the kennel with the other dogs. When we travel, I let her sleep with me in hope of bribing her "behave" correctly (also known & not tripping me) in the show ring

No Bob's Furniture here. Do they make extra large nightstands?
Whatever you start now (my famous saying) is be prepared to live with it for the next 15 years. Just remember by the end of the year pup will weigh a ton and you also have to deal with that too.

Like the others I have a king sized bed but I don't sleep in it - only the dogs do. I slept for years in the guest bedroom...LOL.

Thank You All!
We decided tp keep the crate for now.
At night she goes out for potty about 9:30
she then goes and sits by her crate for her treat and goes tp bed.
Why disrupt a good thing.
I was the one who felt bad that she was crated.

I don't think so, but they carry really inexpensive furniture, and I'm thinking maybe a sofa-sized cocktail table as a nightstand!
Try 2 oes, poodle, and 2 cats. Thank god when Blue decides to move to the floor and Sami goes to the end of bed. AND that I am short. They also get upset when Dave comes home from work for 4 days they want to be all over him and take up the bed.
