According to a recent article I just read on nutrition, they said eating right doesn't have to be complicated. Nutritionists say there is a simple way to tell if you're eating right. Colors. Fill your plates with bright colors. Greens, reds, yellows. In fact, I did that this morning. I had an entire bowl of M&M's. It was delicious! I never knew eating right could be so easy. I now have a whole new outlook on life. |

THAT is funny
And while we're on the subject of food, ...was watching O today, and they said eating regular bacon was healthier than eating turkey bacon ...which I always hear so many eating instead. Both ..same calories and fat but turkey bacon has a lot more sodium. (didn't know where else to put this but thought i'd share for those who are depriving themselves) |

Too much bacon is bad for you! But I like that m&m diet idea myself. |
mmmmn pretty colours
mmmmn chocolate |
MMMMM BACON!!!!! |
Why does everything have to be colors...colorblind! Pain in my rear.
I always remember the movie, Grumpier Old Men when I hear people talk about bacon. What is it about bacon that smells sooo good? I know vegetarians who wont eat it, but they even admit it smells good. |
Well, I eat turkey bacon and I like it. I eat it because I don't eat pork but enjoy bacony goodness, so it fits the bill. But, like anything else, you have to eat it in moderation.
Thanks Deana for the tip on eating lots of colors! I guess Skittles count as healthy too? |
Sorry, days of M&Ms for breakfast are over
Shon, I have a woman friend who is also color blind.......very rare. Always throws me when she asks, "please explain this color to me." |

MMmmmm Yum, Sour Skittles. And yes, they are a food group. They fall into the running through the airport don't have a clue when my next real meal will hit food group. |
Very funny! That's a diet I could like.
Reminds of when my niece was little. She spent the night with me one night and I asked her the next morning what she wanted for breakfast. She was very contemplative for a moment, then, quiet deliberatly she said "I think....I'll have....SKITTLES!" I said "young lady, I know this is Aunt Tammy's house and there aren't a lot of rules. But, one of them is definitely "No SKITTLES for breakfast!" |
My grandfather is in his late 70's.He had 3 heart attacks and after the last, while he was in hospital ,a nutritionist told him he should eat more vegetables,at least 3 serves a day.
He lives alone,so the rest of the relatives and us all took turns cooking his main meal each night.I went to his home to cook his dinner a few weeks later and searched his pantry, and every cupboard in the kitchen,no vegetables. So,I thought,he must buy frozen veg,but all I could find in the freezer were hash browns.I said to grandad"Where are your vegetables?I can only find hash browns?".His reply"What do you think hash browns are made of?They are vegetables. And cook 3 for me,the nutrionist said I need 3 serves of veg a day". |
