I think a soft coat matts up more, to be honest, but I guess an overconditioned one might be different than a naturally soft coat.
I like the Stuff and Ice on Ice for spray conditioning (which will help also detangle). I think you can use both of those on a wet coat, too. |
I condition my dogs ALOT; i prefer the silky coat to the coarse one, even if its not breed standard. And my girls still matt up like crazy. So I don't think conditioning really helps. But who knows; maybe if i didn't condition, it would be worse...?
I use the Chris Christiansen line; Day to Day shampoo, Thick n Thicker coat treatment, Final Rinse solution and follow it with Ice on Ice like Butters Stotch recommended. I did just see that there is a Day to Day conditioner; I might try it. I also like Mr. Grooms "No Snarl" and "The Stuff" |
Darth Snuggle,
Your xmas pictures are excellent. I love the whole bw/gray feel with just a tad of season color. Did you taken them yourself, or you had someone do it? Was the set up suggested to you? I've never been fond of the high school yearbook picture approach for dogs. |
Thanks! I did them myself in my living room. We didn't have a whole lot of options for a back drop. so the sheet is what we made do with. |
