8 to 10 Lasagna noodles. Break them in 1/2 before cooking per pkg directions. They will fit into crock better 1 lb ground Beef, ground Turkey, or Italian Sausage. or combo of any. 1 small Onion, chopped 1 pkg Pepperoni slices 1 jar sliced Mushrooms 1 jar your favorite Speghetti Sauce (I use a BIG jar because hubby likes more sauce) Mozzerella Cheese, Shredded -- as much or as little as you want. cook noodles till al dente brown meat(s) and drain Spread a spoonful of sauce on bottom of crock pot then layer ingredients as follows: (I shoot for 3 to 4 layers) noodles meat mushroom onion pepperoni some sauce to cover then repeat as many times as you are doing. Like I said, I shoot for 3 to 4. on the very top I dump on what meat/shrooms/onion is left. Cover and Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. Till good and hot. Spread all the mozzerella cheese on top, cover again and continue cooking till cheese is all melted and bubbly. (roughly 30 to 45 more mins) Serve it up with Salad and Garlic Bread. You will almost get a "Stirred up" effect when you start dishing it out. It won't be a cute square like traditional lasagna. It's a rather forgiving recipe.. so you can add or remove ingredients. |
