I held and soothed her while the Vet did his thing. She is 90lbs of Aussie girl. lol She was even good getting her temp taken. When we where first getting ready to take Asia to the Vet's I expected to have a few problems with her since she has never gone anywhere without china or Violet. I was right, she didn't want to get in the van without them. I was finally able to get her in the van, then off to the Vet's. Of course she didn't want to get out of the van, I'm sure she could smell the Vet's. So I climbed in the van and got her out. I was concerned about taking her in because she is a talker and loves to "roll her rs" if you get what I mean. She was perfect. She went up the stairs to the Vet on her own as long as I was right by her side. So we go in, she smells around and even had two cats come in and she just sniffed them and then layed next to my chair. We where taken care of pretty quickly, but Asia was an Angel. While I paid, hubby offered to take her out the door and she never looked back at me. Back in the van and home. Asia is doing much better and swelling is down most considerabley. I have to give the Vet a call on Monday to let him know her progress. I am sure by then she will be all back to her old self. |

OWWWWWW! |
Awww, poor Asia! But what a good girl for being so good at the vet's! Hope she feels like her old self soon! |
Wow. You handled that exceptionally well. I would have had to be carried out on a stretcher!
So glad she's doing better. Kristine |
Oh no! The idea of being stung or bit near the eye is terrifying. It's great she was such a trooper-- and you, too! |
That's scary, especially with an animal as you can't tell them what is happening, lucky she didn't paw at it badly.
My son when he was young got stung under his eye just on the lid by a wasp, even at 23 now he is paranoid about any insect flying near his face - even butterflies! |
Poor Asia...
Hope she feels better already! |
I would of been a nut case, asia heal up soon you have a CALM and wonderfull mommy.
WOW so scary and your momma handled it SO WELL. |
Asia sounds like she was very brave hope you're all better soon |
glad asia is ok that happen to duffy we think it might have been a snake his eye looked like a football he ended up needing a shot and anti/bac/ watch it hope asai is better today |
Oh my, I would have freaked. Poor Asia!!!! Glad it seems like all will be okay. |
Update: Asia is doing so much better this morning. All the swelling is down and the white of her eye is just a bit blood-shot. She is taking her ointment into the eye very well. My son and his girlfriend came by last night and Asia got extra attention...so she loved it.
Thank you everyone for your good wishes and concerns. Asia and I really appreciate you! One more note: Everytime I had to put the ointment in Asia's eye, who do you think had to have her big black nose in "the business"? Yes, Violet! Silly sheepie, front and center. I would like to think that she was trying to be helpful, but I really think she was making sure that no one was getting a treat without her. |
Asia is such a good girl, very clever of her to tell you she wanted help. She must know everyone was trying to make her better. Glad she is getting on OK. hugs x |
