Both dogs received new bones from Santa. Because of arguments between them They got them with a gate between them under supervision. Last night I gave them each a new bone(from Santa), Simon in the living room and Gar in the kitchen. Gar didn't like being by himself and was whining so I put the footstool in the middle of the living room with Simon on one side, me in the middle and Gar on the other side. It worked for all of five minutes when I noticed that Gar seemed to be taking the bone apart . I took the bone away and then went to Simon to take his away. The brat growled at me. I was not sure that if I took the bone he would not snap at me. This has not happened in a long time. I went into the kitchen and got a two treats, gave one to Gar and called Simon to get the other. He came running and I yelled to Randy to pick up the bone. So I guess Simon, for a little while, will only get this particular bone with me or Randy holding on to one end. With Simon, it always seems to be one challenge(from him) or another. I always win but does it always have to be so hard! |
