Growing up my Grandfather had restored a 1908 hupmobile and a 1908 EMF Roadster. I loved riding in those cars......... the hupmobile i had nick named putt putt as that is the sound it made. I have pictures of us all dressed in 1908 attire at car rallies......
I know the hupmobile is in Ouray Colorado in a private car museaum. My grandfather bought it, along with a second engine for it still in the wooden crate from the Ringling Bros. Circus as the clowns used it for their act...... Wish i still had it. |
WOW how nice that was. |
yes and no........... i was a 4/5 year old little girl having to dress up in button up high top shoes with tights and white lacy dresses with bows......... i had hair in ringlets (how i hated those things) it looked like something out of Pollyanna.........
Loved riding in the car but having to wear the get up to go with it wasn't fun!! |
