Dont give away ending as I'm reading it. |

I read about three-quarters of it, then got annoyed because nothing happened (or it was the same thing over and over again), so I skipped to the last 10 pages. But honestly, I don't remember how it ends.
My nephew read it and liked it a lot. |
I'm half way or there bouts and it's getting harder to pick up. I will be into it then as you said same thing over and over. |
Is it fiction or nonfiction? Who's it by? What's it about, generally. I was a history major, so I like most things history and am always looking for a good book... |
It's fiction, author: Elizabeth Kostova. It's about vampires. But the author twisted the story to include the man actually known as Dracula from the 15th century. Nohe was not a vampire, that's Hollywood.
His name was Drakulya-Vlad lll. His was a tyrant who was dedicated to keeping the Ottoman Empire out of Transylvania and Wallachia. Looked him up on line, he was a very dark and evil human to say the least. Vlad killed and tortured many during his reign sometime just for fun. |
I read the book this past summer. I really enjoy historical fiction and this was fairly well researched. It did start to drag a bit in the last third and I
skimmed a few chapters. Overall, I liked the story. |
