I hate when I have good coupons but forget to bring them. I almost feel like driving back, but I never complain about the amount of them. Now, the cashiers usually give a groan when I come by b/c of how many I have. Makes me chuckle though. |
I've heard that there are grocery stores that will take expired coupons. Hven't bothered to track them down though. |
I've heard (and I don't know if this is actually true) that most places coupons don't actually expire...you just have to talk to a manager. I can't remember exactly, but my lawyer brother told me about it and why...but I could be totally wrong! |
My mom is a manager at a grocery store ...granted on military bases... and she says they expire. As someone who always uses coupons, they never take my expired ones that accidentally get in there sometimes. The computer usually catches it if they don't, but then again... I notice these young cashiers never look at the coupons b/c I have so many, so when something I didn't buy gets in there (when you come with 60 coupons...sometimes it happens) ...they still accept it. And I always double, triple them despite them saying you can't double. Every store I've gone to accepts that.
My mom says some companies get real picky. Others don't. Like, they don't care if you use the coupon on the same brand item even if it's not that item or the $1 coupon on the 4oz instead of the 21oz. You're still buying their product, so they don't care. This is what vendors tell her, and the feedback received when they have to turn in their coupons to these companies. |
