My question is if I give Snowy a bath (needed) how long before I can let her out for potty. I don't want to get her sick. |

I usually dry them for about an hour (with the air force and a fan on the cage) no matter the weather I then let them out for the -OHMIGOSH I was in the tub ! pee. I really only wait so they don't get the stairs soaked - I bathe them in the upstairs. If I am lucky they only pee and don't roll in something to get rid of the yucky clean smell.
Of course it is going to get very cold today I would wait until they are only damp. they never seem to be affected by being let out wet - face it they come in soaked from playing in the snow as well. |
After swimming last week got home and put Obe inside. He then wanted out to pee. I let him out (only towel dried) and he peed and came right back inside, laid down and went to sleep. |
She won't get sick from being wet outside-- forget what your mom told you about going outside with wet hair and catching your death! It's just an old wive's tale.
The more important thing that I'd worry about is that she's dry at the skin level so if she's out a long time, the moisture doesn't freeze and make her colder. |
We just dry with towel and let yuki out for a quick tinkle when we lived in ak. she never caught a cold nor did she come in shaking. then we went back upstairs in the room that was still warm for bath and finish blow drying her. |
