Will it go away as he matures? I hate them, and did notice them on many of his pups, but didn't get concerned or ask anything b/c I never noticed them on his adult "at home" pics that I saw (and of course none on the show pics). |

No, I wouldn't worry. They'll probably grow right out. Owen had pretty visible stains as a baby and now he doesn't have them at all. |
George outgrew his, too. Now he just gets regular old eye buggers that have to be cleaned off, but at least they are pretty "crispy" |
Chauncey had stains the first few months. I tried a remover from the groomer but it only lightened them slightly. He also gets eye booger's that we clean out daily, but no stains. |
We had the same experience with our dogs. As they aged, the eye boogers got more dry and crunchy and easily removed. The stains pretty much went away.
They liked to clean each other's eye boogers and eat them. I rarely got a chance to remove them myself. I tried to discourage it, but you can't watch them 24 hours a day! |

This made Mr. J laugh and made me cringe thinking about my dogs eating each others eye boogers. Good to know they'll probably go away. |
Nobody eating eye boogers at our house.
I've never had a dog do that - thank goodness! |
Mine both love eye boogers. They lick then eat each others.
Just like little kids eating snot, I guess. Sorry if your eating your porridge right now If I do ever have to do it myself they try and snatch them to eat them, must be tasty I s'pose. |
I think I may puke, when I stop laughing |
As long as the tears are clear and the discharge is not yellowish then should not be a problem. Teething can make there eyes weep a bit.
Your lil fellow should grow out of it. In the meantime if you want to, just get a cotton wool ball and everyday warm water with salt in it, dip the cotton wool ball in and just wipe the eye, followed up with a dry cotton wool ball. Start from the outside of the eye with one swoop to the inside corner of the eye and repeat with a dry cotton wool ball to dry it. That way it should also help the tears not causing too much staining. If stained at the moment, will have to grow out or fade when the weeping settles down. |
