Question about rescue
I guess what I want to know is, is it possible to get a rescue from out of state or do most rescues like to meet the family or place them in-state? Any tips on rescuing would be appreciated! |

| Each rescue has it's own rules & standards. I think their main concern is finding a forever home for their dogs...not necessarily homes close by. I have done home studies for some rescue groups (out of state) that are looking to place a dog with families in my area. So that might be something you could ask of them when you speak to them. |
| I got my first OES at 2 in Anchorage...a family took her when another family had shipped her in to go with their male who almost killed her as a puppy...he didn't want anything to do with her. The other family wouldn't let her inside and she stayed through the winter outside in their backyard. She was beautiful and so appreciative when we cleaned her up and brought her into our home...she was a wonderful member of our family! You never know when or where you will find a wonderful pet...I like to think she found us. She came to Anchorage from Juneau and they had paid alot to bring her into Alaska. |
