Has anyone seen Marley and Me yet?

Just wondering if anyone has made it to the movies yet? I want to see it, but I don't know if my son would be into it, he's only six, so I'll have to wait for now. But has anyone out there watched it yet? Is it as good as we all hope it is?

I saw it. I left the theater crying happy and sad tears - I think everyone did in the audience.

good movie - highly recommend it since it's very similiar to the book.
My cousins saw it & said the same thing. My husband wants to go see it but I don't know when we will have the time in the next few weeks. And, having 2 oldsters, I don't know if I want to right now.
I just saw it... it was ok...
I read the book and saw the movie and I thought it was great for young and old. I also cried my eyes out at the end. :D
My Dad's GF and I saw it New Years Day in Florida. CRIED our eyes out. When we got back to Dad's I hugged Max to the point of making him get up and walk away. I haven't read the book, but intend to get it tomorrow...
We went the day after Christmas--Husband, son (23) and his wife (20), our two daughters (20 & 18 ) and youngest daughter's boyfriend (18 ), and me. If the movie hadn't been so incredibly heartbreaking and sad toward the end, it would have been comical watching the seven of us...husband, me, son, two daughters BAWLING hystierically!!!!!!!! Not just tears streaming down our face...SOBBING!!!!!!!! Dez and Kenzi shed a tear but nothing like the rest of us! Dez has never owned a dog but loves ours; Kenzi has had them but never been completely attached to them like we are. Plus, we've had to put one down like they did in the movie and it hit really close to home! Through all the tears, we all absolutely loved it! Funniest, cutest thing you've ever seen. Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson were ADORABLE!!!!! Go see it but take a BOX of tissues...not just a pocketful!
Saw it last night. I'd read the book years ago and knew the story and still cried my eyes out. I'm not going to take my kids (13, 10, 5) because they couldn't handle it - especially since it won't be long at all until we're facing the end with Winston.

We were leaving and ran into a patient of the friend I was with - 9 year old boy....he could hardly keep his composure he was so upset.

There was NOT a dry eye in the theater.
Dh and I just went this evening. I read the book, knew what to expect and still cried my eyes out. Dh even had tears rolling. You could hear snifling all over the theatre.

The movie was good but I don't think it followed the book as much as I would have thought.
I read the book. It was amusing but not to the point of me wanting to trot off to a theatre to see a movie based on same EXCEPT for the obedience class scenes. Those I'd love to see...

I notice in the previews the story had become politically correct and they didn't buy the puppy (which, of course, they did) but rather "adopted" him (baloney) So the bigger question is did the movie contain the parts where they go to see the litter and see the dreaded swamp thing otherwise known as his sire go roaring by periodically, with the breeder sort of trying to downplay any familial involvement in order to not lose the sale?

Those two scenes as described were the funniest in the book to my mind.

They went to the breeder and bought him, the breeder saying they were all $300 except for "that one" (Marley who was licking all over them by now) which you can have for $275. They didn't show the sire or dam that I recall - just that there were puppies everywhere and the place was a mess and smelled...the breeder was a gruff no-fluff woman. The scene was pretty short. They had to wait 3 weeks then they bought "Clearance Sale Puppy".

 I told mr. j we had to see this b/c we'll cry our eyes out and I like that crap. He said, "when is the last time WE cried our eyes out watching a movie?"

He plays hard, but I know he's a pussy cat inside.
I'm going to see this movie today with Ali.

Ok Ali......I will bring plenty of kleenex for the both of us!

Oh geeze....I may have to try and talk her into another movie. I don't know if I can handle seeing the end of this movie especially since we just put our old cocker guy down about 2 months ago due to cancer. We'll see.....
I want to see it since I read the book, but I'm not sure I want to bawl my eyes out at the theatre. This may be one I have to wait for on DVD.
Well, it's a good thing I didn't read this list before Theresa and i went to the movies today........ I knew the movie was about a dog, but........ all the previews were funny. :?

Theresa and I sat there along with ALL the other people just sobbing away..... at least she warned me the ending was sad......

We came home and hugged all my guys..... I told Caly and Checkers as badddddd as they are I still love em!

Word to the wise, Marcia that has our Sophie up in Ft. Collins sent me a book "Winston". I made it to page 5 and had to quit. I called her saying don't ever send me a book like that again......... I couldn't read it. It's about an OES
