Just wondering... |

Tiggy does it. She pounces on her balls and just on nothing when she's playing. It seems to go with a silly grin on her face when she's in a "be silly" mood.
I call it pouncing on mice, as we had a little terrier who used to catch mice in the shed that way. It is funny to watch. I always get a laugh out of it. |
George stomps sometimes, but he's more famous for prancing, especially when he sees the school bus bringing his boy home. He gets all excited and prances in place like a Tennessee walking horse prances while walking He also does this when his favorite people come over to the house. |
Henry used to do this all the time when he used to get excited he would jump up high in the air and flings himself around in a circle. It's great fun to watch.......but I do worry that he will hurt himself so we try not to encourage this behavior, he just turned 1 and has finally started to calm down |
Thanks for all the responses. Im glad its a sheepie trait. Now I want another one. |
We call Snowy TIGGER. She hopes like one and a rabbit. And trots like a hourse LOL Very funny to watch. At 20 months no sign of calming down. |
If you have a sheepie calming down at 1 year, you had best inventory your medicine cabinet! Fiona also jumps up and spins for her meals. It is nervewracking, as the other three are all smaller and running past her. Can you say PANCAKE? |

we have three levels with two sets of stairs inside right where he was doing his Baryshnikov impersonations........so when i say calming down i mean my arm is not being wrenched from my shoulder, minimal destruction, listening to commands and i finally get him to return on recall AND no jumping near the stairs |
MO does it when playing or knowing something special is coming. |
Archie also walks like a horse at a trott or a canter, when he is at full gallop the ground thunders! |
My old english is now 3 and has always pranced like a horse. A few people were saying it wasn't 'normal' so am really pleased to see it is with the old english. They are such unique beautiful dogs and mine has been such a joy. I am however a little worried about a slight back spasm he is having every now and then. We are currently having tests done - has anyone else experienced that?
Any feedback would be much appreciated. Regards, a fellow OES fan |

Patch is probably going on 8 years and stomps and flings - this is weird, but she reminds of the polar bears when they stomp the tundra to get to food deep in the snow. She gets so excited she literally twirls, I love it, it is so darn cute. she is happy it is Monday let alone dinner time or going to the park. |
We call it the bucking bronco in my house . Oliver turns into the bronco when he REALLY excited something. |
