You really are getting the snow over there! Bathtub is the quickest. I put a hand held spray nozzle there just for these emergencies. Good toweling and hair dryer will do afterward. Get some boots, they help with the snow ball feet. I've thought about wrapping them in Saran before they go out, haven't done it.........thought about it. |
A sheepie and snow huh? Mine plays in it all the time. 5-6 months out of the year there is snow on the ground. I bought him some boots from Kondo's Outdoor. They work really well.
I just limit his time outside and make him come in. Dry off with towel then after a short rest he is usually ready to go back out. You can use the bath as it's most likely easier. I dont worry about it. Obe would end up taking 20 bathes a day, not worth it to me. Others may chime in with some other advice. I just accept that in the winter there will be snow and during the summer he will be swimming 2-3 times a week. So I BRUSH a lot. A good example...Obe just got back from the indoor dog pool. Towel dried him off, he's sleeping and later this evening I will brush. |

And now he's ready for his massage before playing a spot of tennis and then a quick shower before dressing for cocktails and dinner. No time for sitting on the coffee table watching TV today, far too busy. Hee hee. Obe has a great life. As long as you exclude visiting dud Vets. Merry Christmas guys. |
welcome to the club. clumps of snow all over lol |
Charlie has been pooped all day! He wore himself out this morning "helping" Bob shovel snow! I just worry about "smelly dog" like we had last week. We figure he just didn't dry out all the way and got stinky. Don't want that to happen again! YUCK!! We'll just have to be a bit more diligent with the towels. |
don't want damp dog?
Get a dehumidifier, it'll help dry the coats and removes those damp odours from the house. |
