Another Hudson housebreaking question...

He's just over nine months now (and still a teacup sheepie, but I'm learning to be okay with it...) and about two months ago he "magically" figured out the housebreaking issue. We thought he'd never figure it out, but one day I just noticed I hadn't cleaned the carpet in a few days. A few days after that he started scratching at the door to go out, and we thought we had it made in the shade.

Alas...

Earlier this week he suddenly started peeing in the house again. We've had two "accidents" against a stair in the bedroom (he often sleeps on it at night, but Portage walks across it frequently to get up on the bed). He has lifted his leg on his toybox twice, and there's a spot by the backdoor that he's hit several times. He seems to go to the door but stops short and pees right there.

I've stepped up my dilligence, and have caught him about to go a few times, thwarting his evil plans. Sadly, my husband keeps "missing" it and so the accidents continue. (Might have something to do with playing video games in the other room when on Hudson watch, but again...I digress.)

We've held off on neutering him (we were going to wait for his first birthday, so allow him to grow as much as possible first...) but he's been showing "big love" to the blankets lately so we've booked him for January 14h.

My question is, does this mean he's regressed in the housebreaking or does this sound more like he's maturing and "marking" his territory? Either way, we've got work to do, I know, but I was just wondering what the root cause might be...

I've been trying hard to catch him before he has the accidents (or rather, on purposes) so that this doesn't become a habit for him, but my husband never seems to notice in time....will the neutering help with correcting this? (Okay, snicker, when I reread that line I realize that I should clarify the neutering is for Hudson and HIS problems. Gordon's lack of focus is unlikely something that can be fixed surgically...)

The leg lifting on his toybox and his step seem rather telling to me (oh yeah, and his food dish once), but I'm not sure why the spot in the living room is so special now...

If you find a way to surgically repair Gordan's lack of focus, please, please, please let me know.

A pre Christmas girls night out last night and I came home to some combined destructor efforts between the cat and Tiggy. Cooperation is a new development and one I am not pleased with. Wayne says he didnt leave the pantry open

But as neither Tiggy or the cat can open it I guess I have a ghost come to live here. Good luck with peeing I have no idea about that question.
i di not feel to bad now with my 9 week old pup sorry !!
