lil J's THIRD birthday
lil J celebrated his 3rd birthday at Itz (chucky cheese on steroids). It's so hard to believe my little boy is growing up. i get teary eyed when I ask for hugs and he tells me "Maaaaaaaa -- Maaaaaaa" with that you're embarrassing me look. 
He starts pre-k, and we are seeing a lot of progress in a boy who really didn't have words at 2. He can now say 2 words at a time, and on his birthday on the way to the party he said "Baby. No. Go."  I mean, we shouldn't be thrilled he didn't want his baby brother to come, but it was exciting!!!

He's always had such a passive nature about himself. Would never hurt a fly ...for now, and is overly caring of others.

He then proved to be a good big brother: 
...and yesterday at 3...he's proving that we made a good choice by naming him after the right person.

I wouldn't worry about his talking, Jo. Our daughter was the same at that age - just talked gibberish for the most part. We even had her hearing tested and took her for speech therapy because from all the ear infections she had, we thought her hearing was affected. Fast forward to today - you can't shut her up!!

My advice... they grow up so fast ~ So DON'T BLINK. you might miss something. I sometimes feel as if I have taken a nap and woke up to one in college and 2 in high school. Enjoy each moment and milestone! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! |
