so after 8 weeks of worry and panic and paranoia, and having been banned from pretty much everything, i can now do stuff and sit back and enjoy myself. my 3 year old is still over the safe weight limit for picking up but hes getting used to having his hugs sat down. the doppler was not working and i was so nurvous all she could pick up was my heatbeat thumping away really loudly that she just did a quick ultra sound to check and all was great my clot and cyst seem to have corrected themselves as she didn't mention them. i'd lost a few pounds but i had a few spare anyway!!! so we get home and hubby says you fell better now ? i said much ! he says i think we should get a fence and get isaac a puppy for his birthday!!!!!!! (his bday not til may29th) i said i might have managed a new puppy when isaac was born but i don't think i can handle a 4 year old little boy, a 4 year old sheepdog, a 12 week old puppy and a newborn while you are at work!!!!! we will think about it for next christmas !!! a moment of insanity i think. husbands gotta love them. i now have to figure out how to work my hubbys pro scanner to scan in my pictures and email them to my mum in england. zoe and einy |

WHAT A RELIEF FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now just sit back and enjoy back cramps and cookies!!! Congrats for making it past the 1st trimester! FWIW, my son's heartbeat didn't show up even at the 20 week ultrasound. Glad the dr found yours AND you lost a few pounds! |
GREAT NEWS YOU ARE FEEL BETTER A PUPPY .. WELL GOT MY HANDS FULL WITH DREAMER WHO IS 8WKS. AND DUFFY 11 MONTHS.. I WOULD WAIT!! TELL YOUR HUBBY HE CAN BORROW MY PUP FOR THE DAY |
Sounds like the puppy is more for daddy! There are a million gifts a 4yo boy would rather have, but this is coming from someone who just got a puppy, and has 2 kids ...one who is not even 1. Tell him the puppy is all his if he takes the pup to work every day!!! |
I could not even imagine having 2 kids, one infant and 2 dogs. Better yet 2 OES and one of them being a pup. I give props to all who decide to take on this feat.
I do want another OES though, I have the itch. |
Oh that is wonderful news
You gotta relax lady! Enjoy the season! Wait another year for the puppy decision... bless your husband, he just wants to fill the house with joy and fun! Oh, and while you are scanning those pics to send your mum.. don't forget us |
i looked at him liked he'd grown another head!
i told him einys not old hes only 4 and perfectly healthy and a 4 year old can't look after a puppy it would be me doing it. einy was like 14 weeks when we got him ( he'd been returned) and he practically potty trained himself we were very very lucky i said its not going to happen again. i think i've won the no getting a puppy battle, i might even be able to pursuade him in say 18 months - 2 years to get a youngish rescue sheepie. DO YOU REALLY WANT U/S PICTURES COZ YOU CAN HAVE THEM IF YOU WANT !!!!! zoe and einy |
Yeah! Congrats on the all-clear! But still, don't do too much--try and relax as much as you can... |
Yeah - Great news!!!
Glad to hear everything went well. Perhaps when the youngest is 5, a new pup will be accepted more heartily in the "pack". Sheesh it's like looking after a new born baby and just have recently gone though it - those middle of the night - every two hour pees and a new born baby would drive you zany. Whatever hubby was thinking - he'll soon come to reason when he's sharing those 5 am feedings with the new baby..ha ha! Hugs from me! Marianne |
WOW glad to hear the good news. Hope it keeps on coming with all good. When are you due? |
YES we wanna see the pics! You give up your privacy right when you join oes.org
Greg & I are sure we are not having children so I'm always up for 'sharing' the journey.. I really can't imagine such a weird (yet perfectly natural) experience it blows my mind every time. |
