"I am angered that this State has yet to get it right. Wasn't the thruway supposed to be fee free in '99? Once these corrupt politicians get their hand in the pot of taking our hard earned money, they keep wanting more. Obesity tax, on soda and not McFatties or Burger Sludge? Gimme a break, why not tax on Video Games since they seem to increase our obesity problems. (not in all cases). Drug test for Welfare, reduce our politicians wages, and seperate downstate and upstate. I know we have tried to separate from the City, but most of our problems comes from the Big Apple. As rotten as the core of this apple is, we all need to stand up and let our ever increasing socialist government know that we wont tolerate this anymore. I am so angered by this, and I am fairly certain that we are going to lose MANY businesses as well as hard working individuals that make a difference. This State will be left to rot and get in more debt. This jokester in office needs to go before WE are FORCED out."
Pretty good, huh? That seems to be the consensus around here between us.

hmm - some of it makes sense, but NYC is also where a lot of our money comes from. they send the State something like $11B more than goes back to the city's residents - I would hate to have to make that up. and I like that the Thruway has a toll and because of it is plowed and maintained unlike my local roads.
of course I don't drink sugared soda |
That's how those if us in fly-over country feel about the big population centers,
Corrupt politicians? You don't have the market on that! In fact we are sending the nation one of the biggest to be the Secretary of Commerce, that is if the Grand Jury doesn't indict him, or his "hiring freeze" hiring spree isn't looked at too carefully, or the any of the other muck that passes for politics in this state gets careful scrutiny. |
