CHRISTMAS DONATION LETTER EXAMPLES NEEDED
Our local humane society is in dire need of assistance. Instead of sending many people, gifts they don't need this year we are making a large donation to our local humane society. Does anyone have any examples of letters they have sent to family and friends you can share? I need to get the letters out by Tuesday or so. Thanks. |

| I'd just include a note in their Christmas card that said "In the spirit of giving, a donation in our family's name has been made to (whatever charity). Or if you've sent out cards already, I'd still send out the same thing but maybe add a picture of an animal along with the website so they can see where the donation went. |
| My brother does this every year...last year it was beehives in some distant country...it has been rabbits for food in another 3rd world country. Just tell them in the card that a donation was made in their name. I have never minded that type of gift...at least it fulfills a true need! |

You are right. I don't mind that gift either, especially since these people are well off and really don't need anything. Our shelter cages have a roof, but are outdoors and it is going to be 5-15 BELOW the next few days here in NE Missouri. They can really use the extra money. |
