I totally suck at house training.... however, it does help to actually take them out on a leash and teach them to go on command. |
yeah you have to accompany them outside. Bert use to pee right in front of the door where I let him out, then sit in it and act good till I let him in.
And on more than one occasion I have let him out and assumed he went...then after I let him back in he has an accident. Now I walk outside with him even when it is zero degrees and I just have a sweatshirt on... |
Have you tested him to make sure he does
not have an infection or is he "marking"? My little wheatie has problems lifting his leg on things... Especially other dogs... |

We do all the right things take him outside all the time praise his success, give him treats when he does his business outside, we even tought him to ring the bell when we wants to go out. But for some reason he just hasn't figured it out yet. he is still having accidents in the house. We will put him outside and he'll just sit down and want to come inside. next thing we know he left us a present on the floor! what can we do??
i just got a fence put in my back yard so my dogs can play. yeah, fences are nice but you still have to walk your dog. fences are for when you are outside with your dog. it is best when you walk your dog and reward him whn he potty's outside. [/img] |
