Steve worked all day so I was with Bert mostly, guess I had Bert on my mind. We had a good laugh....and still find it funny. |

I have called the dog the children's names...
I have been known to call the dog, the kids and the husband all sorts of names at any given time. They all joke that they have to pay extra attention to what I am saying so they actually know WHO it is directed at!!! |
Yep, Yep, Yep!! All the time. Literally. The more we get, the more confusing it gets. I usually yell out at least 2 names before getting their (the kids) name right. I mentioned this the other week but I also tell my dog to go GET A TIMEOUT! when I'm upset forgetting which kid/animal I'm talking to. I tell my kid "That'll Do" which is a herding command for Yuki too. |
Yes as well as the kids too, oh and dog commands like come, sit, stay |
No, but plenty of "sit, stay, come and 'get outta my kitchen!" |
No: my sheepiens have been post- husband. But I've called my son by which ever sheepie it was at the time and he was not amused!
I have to be careful, because the temptation to say"Sit" and Down" to recalcitrant staff is very strong. |
That's funny I ask my husband if he wants to go outside |
This is about the dog's "furnishings", not a mix-up of names. This past summer I was helping with my first grandbaby when I said " Let me put her in the kennel since she is asleep now". I meant to say cradle |
LOL! I'm always calling my kids by the other ones names, correct myself and often say one of the furkids names...hey it's a sign of affection! I never called my ex by the dogs name as that would have been an honor..even tho he was a dog..NYuck , Nyuck.

I do it the other way around. I've called Clyde "James" on more than one occasion. |
Over the last week or so, I've called Mulligan "Jake" a number of times.
It's not like this usually happens, I don't recall doing it ever before... don't understand why it is happening now. Very odd. |

My Husand called me by his ex wifes name once when we were arguing.
The look of sheer horror and panic on his face was priceless.Ended the argument fast too!! |
Not the name, exactly....but the various nick names...yeah "Boo-boo", for instance
My boy's name is Bert too! short for Eggbert |
oh I laughed at this thread! ohhhh yes I do! Sometimes my own now that is messed up! ha! |
Ron, I call Taggart by Tylers name, usually when I'm tired. But I will admit, there is everyonce in a while I think Tyler is visiting in Taggs body... Tagg will be sitting in one of Tylers favorte spots or positions and I swear it's Tyler... It makes me feel good anyway. I don't call Lee by the dogs name, but I do call him a dog...... eeheheheh He is not amused... Not really, Lee is a good guy, but a sheepie he is not... |
