I use Firefox at home too, and I can see the Christmas hat smileys. Not sure why you can't see them. |
I couldn't see thema t first on Explorer - has to do with you memory and cahe - whatever. and its seems odd that first I have one, then I have two, now I have three...... |
I had to hit refresh on my firefox, but see all of them. Maybe they only appear for the good little boys and girls. |
Your web browser "caches" or saves images on your own computer to save from having to go get it from the webserver each time it is requested. Imagine in a long thread how many times a smiley might appear, and how many wasteful requests that might cause!
Unfortunately, it can also lead to temporary caching problems like the one you are experiencing. However, the browser developers have allowed for a way to request that a page be loaded as new. While looking at what you believe to be an "old" image (the smiley without a hat), hold down the "Shift" key on your keyboard while you click your browser's "Refresh" button. This tells your browser to request everything, images and text, new from the web server. |
This pc has the smileys, but my other one did not last night...I guess that explains it. That pc needs some help...not behaving properly anyway. Must remind my DH to take a look at it. |
huh? smiley? me...naww.... |
