Admiral Nelson, or Schooner are my 2 likes |
a 4 month old with a TAIL!!!! How exciting for you; puppy fun ahead of you, and in time for Christmas season!
You could call him Walter, for Sir Walter Raleigh or Drake for Sir Francis Drake. |
Congrats - I hope he meets the approval of your 2 dogs so he can join your family!
I have a friend who has a basset named Skipper, and an OES named Gilligan. |

Woohoo!
(Pounce de) Leon? Pirate? Davey Jones? Blackbeard? Captain Schnook? Kon-Tiki (Thor Heyerdahl's raft)? Or.... Ron John Silver! Welcome! |
Ooooh, I LOVE the name Schooner!! Congrats! We expect to see lots of pictures soon! |
They all sound like great names. I would stay away from anything that has "bark" in it. |
A tail... cool and good luck!!
I don't like Lord as a name for a dog. Out of the ones you names, I like Admiral Nelson and Schooner |
I like all the names. I especially like Skipper.
Good luck. How exciting. |
tail = Rudder |
I am all excited for yhou. You folks are so funny about sheepies having tails..... |
I like all the names - especially Lord Nelson, but Rudder could be the perfect name |
Personally I have always preferred human names particularly English ones so My vote would be for Nelson. There was a famous OES named Lord Nelson back in the 1960's who starred in a network TV sitcom called "Please Don't East the Daisies". He was a dog bred in Southern California by a little English woman named Winifred Barnes and was also the son of Cheyenne Sam, the dog that stared in the original Disney Shaggy Dog movie. One his siblings was my first OES and I also owned one of his sons. It's about time he had a namesake.

Monty
as in "Monty Python" |
i saw him and email they told me on hold i hope you get the cutie .. i new he would go quick |
I think Rudder is the perfect name! (also our Prime Minister in Australia is Kevin Rudd.....hehehe methinks this will be his new nickname!!!) |
I already have a Scupper and Rudder (30 lb terrier mix alpha dog), And lost Sailor to lymphoma recently. So, it will be either Schooner or Nelson. Going on Saturday! I hope they all like each other. When we took Scupper and Rudder to meet Sailor at the shelter (mix ?briard?beardie?sheepie?) he was one large smelly mat. They both sniffed him and backed up like they wanted to say "Please Mom . don't let him sleep in my bed" I hope they behave themselves and really like him. They have been really depressed since they no longer have a clown to entertain them.
Thanks again for all the great suggestions Gwen |
How about Captain Jack Sparrow!Yumm! |
