Hemostat Recommendation for Ear Hair

Hi. I need to purchase a hemostat to pull doggie ear hair. Does anyone have a recommendation on where to purchase and what size? Thanks guys!

Go to a uniform shop for nurses.
They have both straight and curved. I prefer the straight.
they usually only have one size, so that won't be an issue. The gripping part is usually an inch or less.

Be sure to get stainless steel. so it won't rust.

For the past 12 years I have used a pair of Revlon tweezers that look like a small pair of scissors but actually have a flat surface in place of blades. Works great for pulling ear hair. You can get them at any discount drug store.
I got mine in Joanns - they actually sell them for sewing and were very reasonable.
Thanks, guys! I was actually at Joann's yesterday and didn't think about that. Great suggestion!
Actually you dont need them if you get an Ear Powder, Bio groom is one of the brands that has it, so much easier and does not hurt them to puff the special ear powder in the ears and the hair comes away easy with just your fingers plucking them. Another good thing with the ear powder is it helps to keep the canal Dry so lessens the chances of moisture build up and causing the bacteria to breed leading to infections.
I agree with Lisa. My vet showed me how to pluck with just fingers. It might take a bit longer because you cant grab as much hair but when a bouncy puppy doesnt keep still I dont have to worry about stabbing a haem into her ear. Sometimes I dont even use the powder if her ears are pretty clean, just a paper towel to wipe my fingers if they get a little ear grease on them
Fozzie is like a little old man...his ears grow HUGE amount of hair. I do get some out with the powder, but not enough. It's really down in there.
If it's too far to get with your fingers, I'd hesitate in sticking hemostats down there. I have huge man hands and I usually don't have a problem getting my fingers almost all the way down the canal. My problem is that I wuss out as soon as the dog starts acting like a baby and then I do, too. Oddly, I'm better at the inside than I am the flap...

Oh, I can make a deal with you!! I'll do the flap - you can pluck!
Ok, no one has ever shown me what to pluck, I usually try and get what is in the canal? And any hairs that easily come off on the back of the flappy part of the ear? Am I getting the right stuff? I use the dry powder, and my fingers. Allie only goes to the groomer in the spring, for a Pup cut. So I am trying to do every thing else at home....So tell me what I should be plucking please....She hates it!!!!! :(
