Then,my sister, who lives 3 hours drive away,is in a large city carpark and a woman rushes up to her and starts babbling about how she and her husbnad have decided to not buy the house,my sis is all"Who are you and what house?",the woman says "the house you showed us through in (our town)" and it turns out, this woman thinks my sister is a real estate agent who lives here in this town!My sister and I look so unalike people always assumed we were adopted. We werent, she takes after our father and I after our mother. My sister has very distinctive hair (like an afro but blonde). She has never in her life been mistaken for anyone else before. Now,I find out my father, who often went off alone on fishing trips, used to come here to this town.He has never mentioned that fact, even though he knew we were buying a house here, wouldnt you think he would say something like "nice town,I used to go there a lot when you were small". Are you thinking I have some step/half sisters here? The town and the neighboring town have a total of 3,000 residents max,is that too small to have people coincidentally looking so alike?Would you persue it further? |

Maybe an alien landed and secretly cloned your town?!
Just kidding. I would say if you suspect that your dad did other things besides fishing on his trips, and want to cure your curiosity, it's worth a shot to do some investigating. Could be as easy as a blood test. Then again, sometimes it's better to just let sleeping dogs lie... |
I'd find the lady and tell her your story, leaving out the part about your father. You'll both get a good laugh about it. Then if a friendship develops you can learn more about her past.......
But no, I wouldn't persue this as a possible missing link in the family. No use stirring up trouble. |
