Fast forward to this morning, i got up witht he dogs and let them out around 4:30 becaus esomeone screeched - no one is owning up to it, and I went back to bed. Marley and I were the last ones up around 6 (a lady needs her beauty rest) and I stopped in the lr on the way out to say good morning to hubby. as I walked into the kitchen - there is Miss Marley with her front paws up on the stove -EXCUSE ME !! we assumed she was checking out the frozen bones on the back of the stove. about half an hour later I was in the dining room - yeah working on clearing off the table for next week - there is sewing everywhere. I look up and there, again is Miss Marley on the stove - now this is odd because I know she counter surfs, but never when I am i the room, which is why she is never left alone in the kitchen intentionally. anyway a quick hey you and down she comes - with the fresh stick of butter in her mouth So butter is better than chicken backs? who knew. |

Ha Ha! we dont have butter in our house but Summer loves margarine. i noticed the other day she was licking the empty vitalite container in the dishwasher and Tilly was cleaning the plates! |
In our house, the cat is the butter thief. I can't tell you how much butter I've thrown out because I found little kitty licks missing! |
Good Story! My male OES,Crossy, likes Oil very much. One day when I came home from work,he was lying in the kitchen and a whole bottle of olive oil betwen hit paws....empty now. Susanne |
The first time Winston, our new OES, stayed at the dog sitter's I warned her that he would get up on the kitchen counters. She went out for a bit and when she came back she was surprised to find the lid of the butter dish on one end of the counter and the the bottom at the other end of the counter. No butter. Winston apparently lifted the lid off and ate all the butter!!! Lucky for me that he didn't break the dish. |
Apparently he Can Believe It Is Butter. Making of a French Chef? |

Our cat will also lick anything w/butter (ranch is also a favorite! |
And we all thought Paula Deen was the only one with a butter obession |
Our Theeps was also butter obsessed. In fact, because of him, the phrase (apologies in advance) "hot buttered puke" became rather well known around here.
Portage never bothered with butter (yet) and Hudson prefers big ticket items (walls, blinds, armoires, the cedar chest my dad hand made for me twenty years ago...fingers...) |
Baloo doesn't seem to pay attention to butter. Now... I dare anyone in this house to try and get passed him with some yogurt! That is a totally different story. |
George loves butter but only Lurpak!
As a treat he has toast but he will eat it if it has butter and jam on (I think you call it jelly???) When he was sick he would only have his tablets if they were wrapped in butter. And they say its a dogs life.. |
Summer loves toast and marmite, well they both do. They sit and wait for their bit. Usually a big pool of slobber on the floor from Summer. |
