On Thursday I will get a 9 years old female oEs from a dog pound in Hungary, near Budapest. The former owner gave her up just because she is old.In Hungary she has no chance of adoption. If I did not take her out,in a few days she is going to die. But I only will be the foster mother. We are looking for a good new home for her. Is there anyone who could help me? Thanks a lot Susanne |

You may want to try contacting OES breeders in Hungary or neighboring countries that may get inquiries for a dog. There are not too many Hungarian members here on the forum...
Good luck, I'm sure she'll be a great foster for you and maybe you'll want to keep her? |
Try and find out who the breeder is and contact them for help, it says a lot that you are going to foster this bitch, but beware you could be left with her as people who will adopt an older dog are rare. Lots of luck |
Hi!
I just want you to know that there are good chances that i have found a new home for the sheepie.A few days ago a dog trainer from germany mailed me that she is interested! On Thursday fanny will be with me,then i tell you more. Susanne |
Thank you for caring for this baby. I'm sure her new home will love her to pieces. Isn't Prof. Boni's mom originally from Hungary?
Edited because Hungry is not a country. |
Hi!
I just want to tell you about the dog.Since Thursday she is in Austria with me.At the death-station they had to give her a narcotik to put her into the box for driving to me.She was very agressiv in Hungary, noone could touch her or do a step into her room. When she was a few hours here, she put her paw on my husbands knee!!Just from herself. And now, only three days here, she is very calm.Yesterday we gave her a bath(was very necessary)and we have been at the vet.Fanny has a really big Tumor at her Milk....dont know the english word, sorry. But it doesnt hurt her. I am not sure what to do now.The woman who would take her, that she will not yet because of the Tumor. Susanne |
That's sad Susanne she really needs it out surgically. A Mammery Tumour to see if it is a nasty one or just benign, regardless it does need to be removed as it will only get bigger and cause problems.
Is she de-sexed as well? If not then if you go ahead and have the tumour removed for her best chances of a happy more years to come spaying her will help also and hopefully alleiviate any more mammery tumours occuring. Best wishes I hope she finds a good furever home to spend quality time and have a happy life in her older years. Thankyou for getting her and giving her a chance, she sounds like she was petrified at the shelter, nice to know she is calming down, amazing what compassion, love & a bit of TLC can do to change how they are feeling. |
That is great that you rescues the poor girl. Hope you find her a home soon. I agree, the tumor needs attention ASAP. |
