My vets even put it on their bulletin board. I got it from friends on another board who work with hollistic vets a long time ago, told folks about it in my area, but was too lazy to actually buy the stuff. ingredients: canned pumpkin plain yogurt HOW SIMPLE IS THAT!!! Mix equal parts of regular canned pumpkin (not the pumpkin pie filling!!) and yogurt into large bowl. Spoon onto cookie sheet. Put in Freezer. Take out once frozen and put in baggie for daily treat. This is great for dogs like mine that have a VERY sensitive stomach and liver problems. |

ok forgive me if i'm being dumb but do you cut it up after it's froze to put it in the bags like for individual treats? I'll have to tell my mother-in law this recipe for her Bichon .He is pretty fat . She feeds him icecream every night. This would be a good alternative. I'm going to try it for mine to.
Thanks, herbgirl |
Farley looooves his pumpkin. Then again ... he loves all food! I've had to cut back his portions and started feeding him separately from Abby because he was getting into her breakfast too! Although ... do need to train him - so we'll give your treats a try! (smalllll bits!) |
