| Not to be nitpicky, but how does a 501(c)(4) corporation get a .gov website?
How do they name their site "change" in violation of .gov standards (way too vague), and the name itself clearly violates the non-campaign rules given that it was his primary campaign slogan. .gov is (was?) supposedly the most trustworthy of the top level domains, only allowed to be registered by valid governmental agencies and registered only by the duly authorized individual, the Governor or his representative for a state .gov, the Mayor for a city .gov, etc. President Elect Obama continues to remind us we have only one president at a time. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to have a domain called "presidentialtransition.gov" and pass it on every 4 or 8 years. Ron |

Your name for the site is very appropriate, BUT that would not be specific to HIM. He's not really reminding 'us' that we have only one president at a time, he's reminding himself. I just checked out the employment section on his site and there are several things listed that you have to fill out, BUT you don't have to disclose whether or not you're a US citizen or if you're allowed to work in the US.. ??? |
| Whenever the administration in Washington D.C. changes, there is always a big change over in personnel. ANYBODY who works for the federal government or for any ethical employer has to provide proof of citizenship or proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. The website is set up to help people who want to work in this adminisration, not as career federal employees. The website specifies that some positions involve financial disclosures background checks, including F.B.I. checks.

Why put them on the application if its as important as the name of your most recent employer? I don't care...as long as... a legal American doesn't loose out on the opportunity. I just found it strange that is wasn't required info.

| I don't know if the site has been updated or if you just overlooked the portion which asks about citizenship and eligibility to work in the govt. The required questions are to express an interest. Your concerns are addressed: see below bolded areas (my bold)

I found it inspiring and informational and a great credit to an incredible man. I am very excited at the direction our country is heading and hope this will be the end of narrow mindedness and hatred. What an exciting time to be witnessing history. |
