So last night, lil J started to throw up. He threw up once every hour all night. It was quite the night. We're not sure what caused it, and our only conclusion is peanut butter? I ate it too but only a spoonful, and the expiration isn't until oct 2009, but it's the new kind where you put it in the fridge (no hydrogenated oils). He also had oatmeal, homemade pizza (homemade sauce, pineapple, ham green&red pepper), strawberry bread, morning fruit smoothie, yogurt, milk, and that peanut butter sandwich. I DID put more than I normally do (pb wise...like 3 times as much - it's in the fridge so hard to spread, so he got this huge chunk instead of the barely there layer ...but he usually eats pb daily with bananas or on top of his waffle) Anyway, this morning he stopped throwing up. Acted very normal minus diarrhea. Ate a handful of plain crackers and had no problems. Other than that, has refused to eat (not him at all). No fever last night or today. Not even a temp. He just started again (while loading up on water). He's got an appt tomorrow morning, but I'm wondering if there's anything I can give him to soothe his throat? I can tell whatever is coming up is killing him. Any advice would be nice. |

are you sure that he isnt allergic to peanuts? that would be a logical guess...
i think id just keep giving him small amounts of light things...and not a lot at one time....keep the pukies at bay..... hope he feels better... |
also sounds like it could be a 24 hour stomach flu. though I guess there'd have been a fever...? |
we're starting to think some sort of stomach bug/virus too due to the diarrhea. The d is getting worse. i hate when he's uncomfortable. Guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow. no biggie. he's cut down his water to just little sips, so hopefully that helps. |
There is a lot of norovirus going around this year (stomach flu) we were warned by the school, and it sounds exactly like what the poor little guy has, symptoms wise. Hope he feels better soon. |
I think I may have been poisoned by a mushroom the other day. Immediate sickness. Totally sucked. |
Hope he feels better soon.. ugh being sick is horrible |
How's he feeling today, Joah?? |

It was a giant portobello at a restaurant and I've had it there many times before. I think they were trying to kill me. |

LOL That is what I was thinking. i always thought james had a brain on him....hmm...must reconsider... i mean, who would take care of the boys? shleping, grooming, feeding, etc? naw....he may want to chain you to the dog room, but i dont think he'd ever want you down......thats a lot of responsiblity for a guy...3 dogs...i think not |
Poor Lil J! Yeah, I'd vote for some virus over food poisoning or allergic reaction. I hope he's feeling better soon... |
Oh, and maybe try something like jello to soothe his throat... |
Thank goodness I don't have to throw the pb out. You have no idea how much I love this no stir refrigerator stuff. It's so different than the room temp kind. Mmmm.... pb!
He has the stomach bug. Like the pp mentioned, it's been going around especially since Halloween. I knew he'd be okay, but Mr. J wanted to rule out ear infection or sore throats. Will try jello when he wakes up. Hasn't eaten a thing. Must be dad's genes because they aren't mine!!!! |
Well, it definitely was a virus. Joshee and I got it the same time last night, and Mr. J just woke up with it. Poor Joshee doesn't know what to do with himself. Hope none of you get what I hear is going around!!!!!! |
I think T got it last night, but it was fast-moving and gone now... |
oh thank goodness for her. lil j has it real bad. joshee is actually laughing every time he has projectile vomit and has explosive stuff. |
Thankfully most of us are feeling mostly better, but I now have the lucky task of packing on the weight that I lost. I was 133 and after being sick for 2 days, 124. Not an attractive look for me since I'm already a long toothpick at my height. |
Hey... Can I give you some of my mommy weight, you're welcome to it! I've got another 10-15 I'd like to loose...
So glad to hear your family is recuperating. You guys probably got that horrid hexa virus (I think that's what it's called, it is that nasty stomach virus that gets passed around on cruises and such). It's super contagious and an absolute misery to have. I'm quaking in my boots just thinking about it... nothing worse then having a stomach bug, except maybe your baby having it! At least your son thinks it is funny. Poor lily has had the snuffles for the last 2 weeks after I caught a cold and she still hasn't shaken them She doesn't think it is very funny, especially when she gets snuffly when she's trying to eat. Of course, I'm still coughing too, so I guess it is a pernicious cold! She didn't get a fever from it though so it certainly could have been worse... stomach bug would have been MUCH worse!!! Get better soon! |

At least someone is enjoying it |
