I would work on them spending time together. Your springer is old, and he is not going to be thrilled with a rowdy young dog. Hopefully he will put her in her place and she will learn to repect his boundaries.
This does not happen overnight however. Holly will continue to mess with him, and he will snap at her. It is just how dogs act. Neither is really in the wrong, and is actually more aggavating to us humans than the dogs! One thing you can do is make sure Holly gets enough exercise, so she is less of a pest. Also have private time with Panda, doing things he likes. They probably aren't going to be best friends - more like the relationship lots of siblings have when there is several years between them. Later on, when Holly is more mature - then they will be more of friends. |
Thank you that is wonderful advice! I'm sure everything will work out just fine my springer is a wonderful dog hopefully he can teach Holly some manners!! |
