| We are getting exited too for christmas as it will be the 1. st in our new house!
unfortunalety we cant take part this year as it doesnt look good in our financial sector and to order 71 cards and post 71 cards will take it's toll, sadly!  But we will try to be there again next year!
I will post 1 card here instead for everyone, I hope nobody will be upset they not getting a personal card from us this year! Hope we sorted our situation for next year as I'm looking for a better paid job, I want to work in an office again, first I can sit down in my "old age" and 2nd I like do more typing, computer and admin I prefer to running round and having stress all day! I leave this job for the younger ones!! LOL
I'm still ill with my twisted ankle and I'm not getting paid from my current job for beeing at home, that made me think of a good job and I already applied for some. Hopefully I get succesful one day! xxxxx |

| This was our first year making personalized Christmas Cards, and WOW, what an adventure that was. So I dressed the three kids up, made the hubby dress nice, got myself dressed and put a quick brush through all the dogs. My friend Fiona came over to take the picture for us......what a circus! Between the three kids and the 2 puppies and the 6 adults, we only managed to get the 1 puppy and 2 adults in the picture.....the rest kept running away! So after an exhausting hour or so trying to capture the perfect picture, off we went to WalMart to view the pictures and make the cards. Every picture we looked good in the dogs looked silly, and every picture the dogs were in perfect pose we definately were not. You will see the end result as soon as you all get the cards! |
| I just put the dogs on mine, and I printed the labels from the email, it was more sticking things on envelopes than anything else. I just made it simple so that I could be in. I did it early because I have a lot of other things later, and I have cut my hand so it was something I could do until I can get drawing again...and I have a few to do as well.

| Mine is from last winter - when we went and competed in a sled dog race in northern MN. But, it's not from the race.
Surprise though............ inspite of the 18 pages of pics I have here , I have saved this one special for our card and never posted it!!!  |

| I'll send the main batch over in the next few weeks, then the others I will send shortly after. I am so excited about this, it's the highlight of the season for me.
My parents are not celebrating Christmas any more as they are "Too Old, don't need any presents and don't believe in it so we are not getting you anything".. too grumpy more like. They have booked the week in a hotel to get away from it, probably for the best, good riddance too, bah humbug. It seems I'm not allowed to celebrate either. Well, I'm a Christian and have always loved Christmas and the holiday season so I'm always going to celebrate it so there! Greg only has Christmas Day off this year and we are going to his mum's for that day so I'm kinda left with nothing to do 
I have ordered some new fairy lights and bought the cards yesterday, I am thinking I will do some new recipes in the week leading up to Christmas.. hoping Mrs J will put some on here as they always make my mouth water  |

Got our cards all done. Can't wait to send them out! I am trying to wait till after Thanksgiving... but like you guys ~ I am sooo excited! I can't wait till they start rolling in! We had to take a ton of photos of Baloo before we got one that both Hubby AND I agreed on. I'd like one... he'd like another... some were plain crazy silly... some only had part of a sheepie (it was tough getting Baloo to sit still when the kids came in to see what we were doing and Baloo wanted to PLAY)... But we got it done and I am anxious to get them mailed!! |

| I ordered mine online from Costco. I got the warning that they were very busy and could not guarantee twenty four hour service when I did my order online. Then, four hours later, I got the notice they were ready and I could pick them up.
Costco was less than half the price of the other places I checked, and the envelopes that came with the cards are gold lined inside so they're not bad at all. My outtakes from the photo session are WWAAAYYYY more interesting than the finished photo. And I love that both dogs have dirty faces. Why would I want them to look any other way? I wouldn't recognize them if I cleaned them up for the photo. There's one I snapped (but can never share) of my hubby in his plaid flannel jammies (that of course, no longer have the drawstring). He's trying to wrangle two dogs with one hand, and hold his pjs together with the other. Priceless. |

| I printed 35 pages of postcards I did with print shop. I took the picture of the dogs in my living room with my digital camera...and they came out fine. One box of photo paper, one set of printer ink, two boxes of envelopes and a roll of stamps. I bought one thing at a time, so it didn't kill my budget. I like to make these things myself though...instant Christmas cards. |

Using PSP I cut out a pic of Dutch that I took awhile ago , added a clipart, printed them out on photo glossy post card sized paper (one box, 4 to a page ) and used invitation sized envelopes that I had . The stamps are the killers when you don't live in the US |

| The idea of receiving all those cards was perfect for getting me on the move! I have a photo from last Xmas of Willoughby looking Christmassy and I took it to a camera shop to print the cards. They look fine if a lttle soft focus. They are all addressed,signed and in the envelopes waiting to be sealed and stamped. I can't beleive I did it! Now, I musn't do whqt I often do:drive around with cards and forget to mail them! |

| I have a tiny house and in the midst of insanity that is my kitchen remodel.. I will be displaying my cards at work for my holiday decoration. Others decorate with trees and lights, but I will use the special powers of sheepieness to decorate my little work space with cheer and merryness... I'm not sure all of these words could or will be found in the dictionary, but they are in my vocabulary... hah! I say.
I will take photos to share with you once I start to decorate... that probably would require that I tidy my work space, much to my managers happiness I dare say... |

| I have been so excited by the cards. As I've shared before my husband has "opinions" about them, but loves them too.
My father in law was over helping lay some new flooring when I arrived home from work. I brought in the mail, flipped through it and shrieked, "What? No sheepie cards today!" And then I pouted, just a little. My father in law came out laughing. He said my husband had told him in advance that I would be devastated that there were no cards today. They both had a good chuckle. Then I asked the obvious question..........since I picked up the mail on my way in the door, HOW DID YOU KNOW THERE WERE NO CARDS? He was busted. He went out to check the instant the mailman arrived (my father in law confirmed this) but knows that I love bringing in the mail so he checked and put it back in our box. Yet another example of how much he's enjoying the cards too. So far, we have four (and we put up one of ours), and I'm counting the minutes until I can check again. I was home sick on Monday and got to greet the mailman, but I can't pull that off again anytime soon. |

Mine are in the mail. I took Harry out Monday afternoon for his "photo shoot". It was very cold and windy and we were the only ones out and about in the park. He had a blast "dashing" through the dusting of snow after we were done taking his picture. No outtakes this year - it is my usual Harry around St. Louis card - but take a close look at his nose on the picture on the inside. I have eleven cards so far - as soon as I start decorating (hopefully this weekend) I will put them up. I too am disappointed when there is no sheepie card in the mail. |

Uh, we are going to be a little late with our cards, too. Oscar just got over pancreatitis. He is doing fine now, but we have to do a delicate balancing act with his tummy as the treatment for his IBD (prednisone) may have caused the pancreatitis. Is 2008 over yet?

| I couldn't figure out what was the matter yesterday then it finally dawned on me....its Saturday and therefore there would be no sheepie cards in the mail. I've received 14 beautiful cards so far...thanks everyone!!! and I can honestly say that I'm actually looking forward to Monday so that I can check so see if more have arrived. |

On two of mine, I put someone's address from the board as the "from" and then filled out the "to" normally. So someone will be receiving a card from ME inside, but it will look like it came from someone else. Multi-tasking isn't always a good thing. |

I was soooooo disappointed on Saturday. Not one sheepie card.
Tonight I am going home and going to start displaying them. They go up on the window in the kitchen - but Harry tries to get them down. I lost three cards to the beast last year. Fortunately, Brian was on the list so he replaced the three I lost.
This year there is no safety net - so he had better behave himself. Why is it that this dog is the only one who does not realize that I AM Alpha? |
