She accidentally left a pen in her pants pocket and it went through the wash fine, but made a mess in her dryer. Actually, the dryer in their apt., so not really hers! Any tips for cleaning the dryer drum?? She tried a Mr Eraser - it took a litttle off, but not so great. Also, the clothes are messed up too. She immediately rewashed. Any other ideas? Thanks |
|
if its an ink pen the trick is hairspray - at least for the clothes. cheap like rave or something spray them well and then rewash.
could try it on the dryer too, but it may be baked on. |
eek! no idea but good luck!! its better than crayon! |

Should he spray the wet laundry, rewash, then put it in the dryer?? Or dry it again then spray the dry clothes? or do both?? Thanks, Kerry |
you can spray them wet and then soak and rewash.
if they spray the dryer - be sure to wipe it out and rince before starting - burning up the dryer won't make the landlord any happier |
Thanks.
LeAnne will remind Keith to wash out the dryer too. She has already tried spraying various chemical cleaners in it. |

Not sure when I'll be back but let me know please. Sorry about pen. Been there, done that and worse Never colored inside of dryer though, so no suggestions. Say hi. KB |

KB LOL - very smooth diversion of laundry to flyball Yes, Martha will be available to viewed online. Beware - it will be their 1st class. I will have Riley too - and I'm sure LeAnne and Martha will do better!! At least Martha knows what the ball is. Riley and I are doing the real remedial version - a true test of my training ability!!(Yes, I have a rat terrier who has never played with a ball! ) See us tomorrow from 10-12:00 noon on the Paw's website. Click on the public webcam, training center cameras. (There is one camera at each end.) www.thepawmankato.com |
Soak it in rubbing alcohol. Also use the alcohol to clean the dryer, but make sure the alcohol is dry before using the dryer |

So sue me. If no dogs were involved, I have a hard time getting excited about a topic. Thank Leanne for not sticking "my" dog in the dryer. She would have gotten more of my attention, but not in a good way Hope you all have fun. Hope to get back in time to catch at least some of it, but it will be a bit of a stretch. Is this a weekly thing I hope, I hope? Kristine |
The class is a weekly thing - 8 weeks, started last week.
I am in it w/ Riley, and LeAnne is just coming when she can get away for the weekend. She has permission to be a drop in. And no, LeAnne won't shrink Martha!! |

Speaking of warnings, some girls near here were huffing aerosol cans inside a car and then one decided to have a cigarette. The car exploded. The girls are lucky to be alive.

Geeeeesh
You're right -- lucky to be alive. |
Wow, that brings stupid to a whole new level. Makes you wonder how many brain cells they actually had left........ |
My thoughts exactly.Did you mean lucky to be alive as they clearly lacked a brain? |
Yowza!! Seriously lucky to be alive!!
Last week I went to buy a can of compressed air (to clean my keyboard) at Target. Before she would scan any more items, the clerk asked to see my ID! Said they have to card EVERYONE who wants to buy a can of compressed air to make sure they're old enough!! I said - Do you seriously need to see the ID of a 50-something woman for this? She insisted she did. Can you imagine????? |
I told my husband about the girls in the car, and he informed me that they have to sign for canned air now to clean their computers with. A LT Colonel passed out due to huffing it. How stupid....... |
Another great product is Goof Off, the ultimate remover!
We use it at work all the time. However it does stink to high heaven, and must be used in a well ventilated area. It works great, but has all kinds of lovely warnings. gloves, goggles, etc.... We've used it on ink, paint, tar, fingernail polish, marker, tint, etc... |
Thanks!
The dryer still is bad, she said. Where do they sell it? |
If you want more info about it: www.goof-off.com
I use the Professional Strength, 1 Pint, it cost $6.79 at the local Hardware store. |
