Today I gave Clyde an adult sized Booda bone and the puppy version to Owen. It's a special treat and they knew it so they each picked a spot and started in. Clyde mowed through his in minutes but Owen and those little puppy teeth was obviously a lot slower. Owen also gets very excited and runs around with it, throws it down, barks at it and then finds a new place to enjoy it. Well, Clyde couldn't stand the excitement and the fact that Owen still had a bone to chew so he stole it the next time that Owen set it down. So, I did the same thing to him and gave it back to Owen. A couple minutes went by and Clyde stole the bone again. He knew I was coming to get it so he started chewing really fast. I told him, no way, and I stuck my hand in his mouth to retrieve it. Not only did he not tense up or even flinch, he just continued chewing with my fingers in his mouth! He just kept moving it around with his tongue, trying to consume it before I could get it and all the while avoiding my fingers somehow, too. I guess I'd call that anti-guarding? Or just a piggy. (And in case you're wondering why Bear wasn't involved, he's at the vet today having some maintenance done. He'll get treats later!) |

How you can not love the sweet food obsessed Clyde? What a cutie.
What was Owen doing when Clyde took his bone? |
Poor Clyde. He's clearly hungry and needs more food to sustain him... |

What was Owen doing when Clyde took his bone? Bouncing around on the couch like a dummy. He likes to take the bone, drop it one side of the couch, run to the other side and then run back to bark at it. Clyde swiped it when Owen ran. Honestly, watching these two together is better than TV sometimes. |
What a sweetie! Maggie is just like Owen -- she runs all around showing off to everyone and trying to find the best location to enjoy her treat. She tries a place then gets up and goes to another and then back again.
It is great how well all three are getting along. What fun! |
