I sould have been born a bear

During most of the year I eat only when I'm hungry. I don't subscribe to the breakfast food is for breakfast and sandwiches are for lunch and so on. I eat what I feel like and what is handy. If cereal is handy and I'm hungry I will eat that no matter what time of day it is. Eggs are great for supper.

During the fall its a whole other ballgame. Not what what time or what I'm eating but that I EAT EVERYTHING in site. Doesn't matter weather I'm hungry, I just have to eat. Something inside me says EAT. I wonder if this is something my ancestors did, the whole call of the wild thing or eat now because food is plentiful and the cold is coming and there won't be any food kind of thing.

The other thing is that I'm TIRED all the time. I first must eat and then its nap time. I want to sleep all the time. Hmmm, wonder if theres a coralation(sp) with that.

The bad thing is that I have to spend the rest of the year taking off the weight I put on during the fall :lol:

Does anyone else feel like this???

Judging from today, I'd say yes. At least you take the weight off, I just keep piling it on, each winter add another XX pounds.

Sounds like you might be suffering from SAD .......a disorder that comes with lessening daylight. You can push yourself thru this with light therapy. I suspect I do too, but haven't tried the light therapy.

On the positive side, it's a great time of year for pigging out!
Bears would have loved Halloween candy - snarfing it all up until it is time to gorge on Pumkin Pie. :wink:
The clocks went back an hour in the UK this weekend so its darker earlier in the evening now! Its a crazy thing and I wish we would leave them alone!!
Anyway....Whenever this happens I always want to eat everything but I'm trying to resist!! I think it is about it being cold and dark, its comforting to eat fattening foods, probably something to do with times when humans had to hunt for food and not just go to the supermarket!!
Me too Vicki! I never eat chocolate but this week I've been craving it like mad!
Just a thought,I have a few mild food intolerances and if I eat a "bad" food item,like fruit or some vegetables or wheat,I always fall asleep soon after.I have medically diagnosed fructose intolerance,so does my son,so live on things like red meat,potatoes,sugar,peppermint tea only,lemons and limes are the only fruit I can have,luckilly that means lemon cheesecake is a YES ,NO to grains,bread,flour,tomatoes,normal or fruit teas,soft drinks,alcohol,BUT ,can have plain chocolate(Thank You God!).I can eat rice and pineapple in small doses.And bacon and eggs,no sausages,ham etc.!
Do you feel tired and sleepy after the same foods?Any of my banned list make me so tired out I dream of having a drip in my arm to give me energy,no joke,my ears feel "blocked" or ring,I sleep badly at night and lie awake for hours,feel bloated,when I am good and follow the allowed food diet I have so much energy I am a different person.
I am the same way! I have to eat so much more in the fall/winter. I too am tired, but force myself to exercise.
