Check the October Martha Stewart Living magazine. If you don't want to buy it, your public library should subscribe. Anyway, the October issue is always a Halloween theme, with tons of recipes, healthy and otherwise. Also check her website for ideas. |

I saw in phillsbury, they used a hotdog and wrapped individual cut strips of the crescent around the dog, and left space for a head and one strip for the hat/top of head. In the space for the head, they used mustard for the eyes and mouth. So....maybe you could imitate it with other things such as a carrot wrapped in homemade wheat bread (cooked with ranch on the covered carrot or on the inside of the strips of bread).
