Currently I have a 42" wire crate in my living room and I have a large DockDog soft crate. Obviously, the large crate (28 x21x21") is not going to last long. But I love the crate. It is easy to set up, folds flat in jiff, cleans up quickly, opens on three of the four sides, is heavy duty enough to withstand digging, chewing etc., has a waterproof bottom - and of course, Betsy S. Ross is already used to it. This crate is really sturdy. Not one of the pop up sort of soft crates, but has a couple of attached tension bars that fit snugly together at the top and that keeps the whole thing feeling really secure. I will need to travel next month and I will need a crate for the trip. I am wondering a couple of things. First, is there any chance that a 40x27x27 crate will really be big enough for a full grown sheepie? Or will this be just an interim situation? Second, does anyone have or know of a crate that is built similarly? Is there some better crate that I should be considering? This is not for showing, but solely for travel while staying in hotels and with family/friends and to serve as a sleeping crate. Thanks folks! ~n |
