They moved to town and can only keep three of their dogs, and this was the choice they came down to. I told her about my own quest and about oes.org and that I would see if I could come up with someone to act as an intermediary to transport, failing that, find a sheepie lover to get her baby. She sounded so nice =) |

If she's from a better breeder, had that breeder been contacted? Often they co-own the dog and it may be in the contract for the dog to be returned to the breeder. |
I already replied to your post in "rescuing a sheepdog".
Please check it out Regarding the high end statement - I have never ever heard of them. I have lived in MN my whole life and worked with dogs in all aspects my whole life. They don't show or compete in anything (conformation, obedience, rally, agility) , so they really are a BYB or at worst a puppymill. Health checks aren't mentioned at all on their site. Trust me, they are not cheap and if they were done, they would be mentioning them. But - not saying you shouldn't get the dog - she may be perfect for you. I talked with my co-trippers, and if you work it out and want her, we will squeeze her in the van. She could hang out here for a bit too. I live about 90 miles south of the Mpls/St Paul airport.... I'm sure we could work something out. |
Sara (Sara's / Sarah's Fantasy)
has been PTS according to the email I just received |
I am so sorry, I know this has happened to me before too.
The only words of encouragement I can give you is that your perfect sheepie is out there...... When I lost my first sheepie girl I tried to get another female from a shelter and she was "accidentally" put to sleep before we picked her up. I was totally devastated as I am sure you are feeling now. Somewhere, somehow I bet Sarah knows you were looking out for her.. I know your Sarah and my Cricket are playing peacefully. Take care... I know it is hard. |
