Remove the lid and then hold it over the open can so that there is just a little crescent of space at the bottom and tilt to drain.
This will work unless you're one of those people who presses the tuna until there's no liquid left. It is ok to leave a little liquid in the tuna if you are making tuna salad! I think it will only separate after a few houss. If you still can't stand the thought of excess water in your tuna, perhaps you could try tuna in oil? You'll use less mayo to make it "moist"! |

I am one of those people who want All of the water out of the tuna. You can get a little strainer that is made the size of a tuna can. Just open can, insert plastic strainer and press. Works wonders for getting nice dry tuna. I think I got mine at $1.00 store or Wal-Mart |
